Pair a device

Pairing takes one scan or one short code. Sign in with the same account on both devices first.

Phone to computer

  1. On the computer, open Settings › Remote Access and choose to share this computer's models. A QR code appears.
  2. On your phone, open Olace and scan the code. Scanning with the plain camera app works too; the link opens Olace, or the app store if it is not installed yet.
  3. Confirm on the phone. Done: "It can use this computer's models, at home or away."

No camera handy? Every QR screen also shows an 8-character code like ABCD-1234. Type it into Enter pairing code from desktop app on the phone.

Computer to computer

Both ends are computers, so pick roles: the one with the strong GPU shares, the laptop consumes.

  • Signed in on both? Open Settings › Remote Access on the consuming machine and pick the host from Available to pair. It pairs instantly.
  • Or use a code, same as the phone flow: show a code on the host, claim it on the consumer.

From the terminal

olace pair # same-account menu: pick a host, done
olace pair --code # show a code + QR; this machine becomes the host
olace pair claim ABCD-1234 # claim a code; this machine uses the host's models
olace pair list # see active pairings

After pairing

The host's models show up in the consumer's model selector, marked with the host's name. Try one from your phone away from home; the first request wakes the model on your computer.
